i finished Memoirs of a Geisha this morning and I have to say that I am very proud of myself. I am not much of a reader, I confess. The world of computers and video games consumed me first. :) Sad to say that I will be ignoring 97% of the books here at home, the same books my sister read. But, as I've mentioned, I am proud to have finished a 428-page pocket book over the course of the weekend. It paid off as I got a good grade in our histo quiz awhile ago. Thank you, Sayuri-san!! :)
There's much hype about the Half-blood Prince coming out. My sister got her copy from Poveda (apparently, Poveda is one of Scholastic's patrons and the studes there get 200 bucks off) this afternoon and she began reading as soon as she got home. She tells me that this is the first edition since there is the typo of the "fug" (supposed to be "fog"). Wala lang..
It's sad, however that it will be some time before I get to read HP6. With so much reading assignments (most especially Chem and Accounting.. oh and Theo is kind of an extra), I feel that I've been "avada kedavra"d already. *sigh*
and another *sigh* again.. I'll be burying myself in my books like an ostrich buries its head when scared..
And that happens.. now.
